Idioms (বাগধারা)

• ABC – (প্রাথমিক জ্ঞান) Does he know the ABC of science?

• An open secret – (যে গোপন রহস্য অনেকেরই জানা) His plan to go to the Middle East is an open secret.
• Apple of one’s eye – (নয়নের মণি) The son is the apple of his mother’s eye.
• A black sheep – (কুলাঙ্গার) He is a black sheep in this family.
• A bolt from the blue – (বিনা মেঘে বজ্রপাত) The news of my brother’s death came to me as a bolt from the blue.
